  1. Screener with foot on boundary line is illegal. Foul on screener will be called if contact occurs
  2. Coaches are responsible for ensuring players are legally dressed

Undershirt must be same color as primary color of jersey

Accessories (head & wrist bands, arm & leg sleeves, leggings) must all be same color (black, white, beige, or primary color of jersey) and all teammates must match

Shorts must be worn properly.  Shorts can be rolled inwardly.  Cannot be rolled outwardly, and player will be sent out of game when noticed by officials.  Tape not allowed around waste.

  1. The new concussion protocol for officials is below.  The State conducted a meeting on Oct 18th, 2018 for ADs and Sections where this information was communicated.  Please contact the NYSPHSAA office with any questions
  • If any adult (player’s coach, trainer, parent, game official) observes a sign, symptom or behavior of concussion after a blow to a player’s head or body, athlete is immediately removed from play, and does not return to play that day.
  • Officials are not expected to assume role of medical professional and attempt to diagnose concussions, but are to observe and remove player if sign, symptom, or behavior is witnessed
